The people of Bilbao not only know about gastronomy and avant-garde urban planning, they also know how to have a good time and bring together true musical talents. Not just talents, but Legends. And to prove it, here you have the BBK Bilbao Music Legends one more year bringing artists such as The Pretenders, Deep Purple, Canned Heat or The Jayhawks.
And the best thing is that you can visit the most important monuments of Bilbao in the morning and then enjoy the best music at the Bilbao Arena, in the south of the city. The connection with public transport is fantastic and if you take the E3 Bilbobus line it will drop you off at Calle Askatasuna, right in front of the Arena. And if you're more of a train person, the C1 line will drop you off a five minute walk away at the Renfe Cercanías de Miribilla stop.
From 11th to 13th July
We go to Kobetamendi, as we do every year, to celebrate one of the most important events on the calendar of the city of Bilbao. Although these are music concerts, the quality that comes together on stage and everything that moves around it makes it transcend music and become a cultural event.
A line-up that brings together the best of electronic and dance music, underground and indie. All that is Bilbao BBK Live, although this year they have surpassed themselves because above all the guests shines an artist who sums up the spirit of the festival like no one else; Grace Jones.
The multifaceted New York artist, born in Jamaica, will be one of the biggest attractions at one of the best music festivals in the country. The Prodigy, Arcade Fire, Jungle, Underworld and Massive Attack are just some of the names that will be seen in the different areas and spaces of the festival, which will travel around the city passing through Basoa, Lasai and Bereziak. From 25th to 28th July
We are warming up for another great event in the Village with swing and rhythm of its own. How would you like to start the festival with a Jam Session? Not bad at all. As the days go by, Blues names such as Martha High & The Soul Cookers, Anson Funderburg, Mike Morgan and Shawn Pittman will be joining the party.
Although you will enjoy the best Blues, not only the classic but also new fusions and sounds, there will also be other activities going on at the same time as the concerts, such as theatre plays, concerts for the little ones, perhaps one of the best plans for the whole family in Bilbao, as well as workshops and much more.

Now it's time to stand up and salute with all honours the festival of festivals in the northern part of the country. The great rock & roll festival returns like every year to bring us the best of the genre; Queens Of The Stone Age, Band Of Horses, Jane's Addiction, Sheryl Crow or Glen Hansard among others.
Names and artists that shape the international music scene with the greatest talent and one of the most devoted audiences in the country. Vitoria-Gasteiz plus rock equals guaranteed success.
From 3rd to 7th July
Next to Bilbao, across the Bizkaia Bridge we come to Getxo, where not only will we find some of the best beaches in the country, but also the best of jazz to transport us to places where only good music can take us.
The talented saxophonist James Carter will kick off the festival, vocalist Stacey Kent will be next to finish with the acclaimed guitarist and composer Bill Frisell.
These are just the big names of the festival, as there will be concerts, competitions and numerous parallel activities that you can't miss if you want to get the most out of the festival.
19th and 20th July
If you enjoyed the Festival Sónica in Castro Urdiales, Cantabria, in past editions and now you can't find it anywhere, don't worry, it's not your imagination. The festival has changed its name to Sonórica, but it hasn't changed its spirit or its good vibes one bit.
And for more proof, here are some of the names that will be seen during the two days of the festival; Melendi, Arde Bogotá, Nil Moliner, Amaral, Sidonie and the irreverent Ojete Calor and Ladilla Rusa.
From 23rd to 25th August
Let yourself be absorbed by the immensity and beauty of the Rioja Alavesa landscape. A festival full of good vibes, with people who want to have a good time while enjoying the best wines of the land and a gastronomy to match the event.
The festival is held on different stages in the heart of nature, with the vineyards being the main protagonists, as well as the town of Laguardia.
From 29th August to 1st September
Just a stone's throw from Laguardia is the city of Logroño, which hosts the Muwi La Rioja Music Fest. Another great event where you can enjoy good music, great food and a great repertoire of wines.
It's a different kind of festival, with a relaxed atmosphere, where you can enjoy a chat and a few laughs while tasting the best of the local gastronomy and waiting for bands like Amaral, Xoel López, El Columpio Asesino or Rodrigo Cuevas to take to the stage to give the final touch that was missing to make your night absolutely perfect.
